Red Hot Hydrogen Car

We all have seen those eco-friendly hydrogen-powered vehicle, but we never seen it this HOT !! This breath-taking red hot supercar (It’s a supercar for sure, even it runs by hydrogen, right?) is something that is going to go right on top of the auto world not just for the fact that it could beat any of the existing cars in regards to style and design, but also because it goes completely green by running on hydrogen as fuel.

Texas based Ronn Motor Company has lifted the covers on the latest environmentally friendly hybrid vehicle that features an in-built hydrogen on demand system. The majority of hydrogen related hybrid vehicles in development use fuel-cells. The Scorpion takes a different approach by using an internal combustion engine configured to burn a combination of gasoline and hydrogen. The technology is not the latest, and as there is no carbon in hydrogen, the model offers a reduction in both CO2 and NOx emissions along with a significant fuel efficiency boost.

Most importantly, the Scorpion take the eco-friendly vehicle development to another level by combining the green solution with red hot gorgeous design, Sweet !!

Green Air Jordan XX3

Nike recently introduced the 23rd version of its venerable Air Jordan basketball shoe comes in Michael Jordan’s staple black, red and white uniform colors but with a new, underlying hue: GREEN. That’s right, people ! GREEN !!

At $230 per pair for the first limited editions, the 23rd version of Nike’s most famous product gets an environmental makeover. According to Nike, the Air Jordan XX3 is its first premium product designed according to the company’s sustainable standards. The world’s largest athletic-wear maker, based near Beaverton, says it changed how the shoe was designed and manufactured to reduce waste, use more environmentally friendly materials and eliminate solvent-based glues.

This will definitely make me, a NBA freak, happy. By the way, Kobe and the L.A. crews are down 3-1 to the Celts, i’m so sad, man. So sad.

Genepaz water-powered vehicle

We all have seen plenty of promises about water-powered cars, and we have not been satisfied YET, … Until now, it looks like Japan’s Genepax has now made some real progress on that end, with it lately taking the wraps off its Water Energy System fuel cell prototype. The secret to the system, it seems, is its membrane electrode assembly (aka. “MEA”), which contains a material that is capable of breaking down water into hydrogen and oxygen through a chemical reaction. Not surprisingly, the company isn’t getting much more in-depth about it, I wonder.. , with only saying that it’s adopted a “well-known process to produce hydrogen from water to the MEA.” Currently, that system costs on the order of about $18,700 — not including the car, but company says that if it can get it into mass production that could be cut to just under $5,000. This is Fantastic, I’m looking forward to see it on our street soon.

The Amp, Electric Car
Here’s the Great News for those who have been lusting after an all-electric green convertible (Including me, by the way) and felt tired of waiting on the Tesla Roadster (the Tesla is much better looking, though) to arrive. The Amp ($25,000 top the cost of “the Sky”) is an all-electric green conversion of the Saturn Sky, a not-so-popular American auto. Sprinting from zero-to-60 time in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 90 mph (We don’t need to ride faster, right?).
The Amp can run for 150 miles per charge, emitting ZERO (read “ZE-RO”) emissions and costing only and only “3 cents per mile” to drive. This is the most affordable eco-friendly drop-top I’ve seen, YET :)

largest solar electric plant

North America’s largest solar photovoltaic system is now UP and Running , and Most Importantly generating power — … about 30 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. The 14 megawatt power plant is located at the Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada. It’s helping the mankind to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 24,000 tons each year.

The plant, which cost $100 million to construct, covers 140 acres of land at the western edge of the Nellis base. The company that owns the panels is leasing the land at no cost, and Nellis is agreeing to buy the power for 20 years at about 2.2 cents/kWh, instead of the 9 cents they are paying to Nevada Power ! Great Job, People !!!!

LG Solar Bluetooth Hands-free Car Kit

LG has launched another green and innovative products, “LG Solar Bluetooth Hands-free Car Kit”, recently, and stated that it will be priced between 100 – 120 US Dollar. The car kit offers up-to 16 hours of talk time gaining an hour for every 2 hour-exposure to the sun. It only weights around 72 grams, which really is portable, no problem moving it from one car to another.

..and we don’t have to wait too long, it will be out in this coming June. Save ur money fast, and help us save the world !!

Solar Panel that is so cheap
Energy company “Sunrgi” recently introduced a new solar system that will break our grids free from the fossil fuel lockdown. Their Xtreme Concentrated Photovoltaics promise a low-cost, high-efficiency system with an incredible projected energy pricing of 5 cents per kilowatt. This breakthrough puts solar on par with the cost of coal, natural gas, and other non-renewable energy sources. WOW !!

The system is based on a principle blinding in its simplicity: use a magnifying glass to concentrate the sun’s energy into a single high efficiency solar cell. Each unit features a lens that magnifies the sun’s rays 2,000 times, focusing it onto a solar cell that converts more than 37% sunlight to energy. The result is a system that maximizes the potential output of each solar cell while minimizing cost and space required.

Sunrgi has built and tested working prototypes, and has announced plans for commercial production in 12-15 months.

The Biggest Wind Turbine.

One Serious Green Leader, T. Boone Pickens has placed the largest ever order for wind turbines. It’s 667-wind-turbines order (Good God) from GE, each will cost approximately $3 million dollars, making the total order $2 billion. The ultimate plans for him is to develop the world’s largest wind farm in the panhandle of Texas. This is not IT !!, the $2 billion order is just A QUARTER of the total amount he plans to acquire. Once completed, the wind farm would produce the capacity to supply power to over 1,200,000 homes in North Texas. GE will begin delivering the turbines in 2010, and current plans call for the project to start producing power in 2011.

Keep up the good work, man !!!

E-fuel micro fueler

This seems so real, unlike what i have seen before. E-Fuel is hoping to target consumers with a personal home-brewed Ethanol system. The Micro Fueler claims “to be the first backyard Ethanol brewer made specifically for use at one’s abode”. How to do it? it’s simple just mixing water, sugar and yeast, individuals can receive E100 Ethanol in a matter of hours. More specifically, it’s noted that a gallon of fuel can be derived from ten gallons of sugar, the CEO claims.

This doesn’t sound so economical and efficient to me, but the company pointed out that with the help and subsidization by federal, state and local, the cost can be much lower, hopefully!! Lastly, for those who want to get their hands on this thing now, it will cost you $9,995 and expected to ship around Q4 this year.

Peel & Stick Solar Panel

Don’t wanna wreck your roof and replace it with eco-freindly solar panels, u’r gonna love this. “Lumeta’s PowerPly” could be the solution for you. The panels use traditional roofing sticky paste, that’ll be easier to regular old folks, and save the process from drilling holes and bolts associated with your old rack systems required to mount solar panels. Sounds great, right? Unfortunately, it aims at the commercial buildings now.
Hope it’ll be available to all for us, regular people, real soon. We want to safe the planet too, right?
